Girls Futsal Cup

A U14 Rockets Squad of just six players travelled to @FutsalUK's International Futsal Arena, to compete against an array of Midlands based clubs, including Wolverhampton Wanderers, Coventry & Stoke Ladies.
Rockets cruised through the group stage, finishing top of the table with 4 straight wins, scoring 11 goals and conceding only 2.
Stoke Town Ladies 1-3 Kinja FC
Burntwood Phoenix 1-3 Kinja FC
Kinja FC 2-0 Wolves 'B'
Kings Heath Lions 0-3 Kinja FC
Rockets started slowly in the quarter final against a spirited Coventry team, but a flurry of goals in the closing stages saw them through to the semis. A second clash against Wolves 'B' saw a repeat 2-0 score line, and Rockets through to the final.
QF Kinja FC 2-0 Coventry Girls
SF Kinja FC 2-0 Wolves 'B'
The final against Wolves 'A' was a very tense and exciting contest of end to end Futsal. Attack, counter attack, and some fine defending from both sides. Nicole Moore broke the deadlock with an un-savable screamer, but Wolves replied with a relentless siege on the Kinja goal. Indie Cooper Hohn produced some super human goal keeping to see out the game, and Rockets were crowned Champions.
Final: Wolves 'A' 0-1 Kinja FC
Rockets scored a total of 16 goals, conceding only 2. All 6 squad player contributed with goals, and rotated positions throughout. The day proved to be excellent preparation for Kinja's Girls Futsal Challenge Cup, hosted at the same venue on Sunday 7th June.
