Kinja Partners With London Bees For FA Initiative, Wildcats SSE Football Club

Kinja Football Club are extremely proud to announce that we will be partnering with London Bees to promote the FA's new initiative to boost Girl's Football. This initiative will see over 200 Wildcats SSE Football Club's open its doors to provide fun football sessions over the course of 16 weeks to girls aged 5-11 years old.
This initiative follows on from the FA's target of doubling the participation rates in girls football by 2020, and will see the County FA's, along with their key partners, run weekly session to encourage girls to attend and enjoy their football. The Hive, where London Bees and many of our Kinja teams train, is one of five centres in Middlesex to feature the new initiative, which will also see an opportunity for parents and carers to also take part in football-related fitness, alongside their girls.
Harry Sherman, Girls Development Manager of Kinja, said: "We are delighted to partner with London Bees to take part in hosting the SSE Wildcats Girls' Football Club. At Kinja we pride ourselves on giving both our girls and boys teams the opportunity to play and develop their skills in a professional environment, while also being able to enjoy their football. To partner with a top ladies team such as London Bees, and have the opportunity to help encourage girls to get involved in football and enjoy playing the game we all love is really exciting."
Sian Osmond, Sports Development Coach of London Bees, said: “We are really excited about hosting the new SSE Wildcats Girls’ Football Club here at The Hive. We are looking forward to partnering up with Kinja FC and helping the youngest generation of girls get involved with the beautiful game.”
John Stewart, SSE’s Director of Human Resources, said: “We’re delighted to support The FA in setting up these centres, helping to deliver high quality coaching sessions across the country to the next generation of female footballers.”
Middlesex FA Chief Executive, Peter Clayton, said: “It’s a great pleasure to be working with a number of our clubs on this new project. As a County we’re committed to helping the FA to achieve the target of doubling girls’ football participation by 2020 and we hope that increasing opportunities for young females to get involved with and find a love for the game will help to do this.This is only the beginning of a very exciting new phase for female football in Middlesex.”
