The Kinja U21 Men's team are part of our Maturity Phase. Having developed throughout the Kinja Football Pathway, they should have developed all of the technical and tactical components needed to succeed in adult football. As part of a U21 side, they are together tasked to make the step up from playing Boys' football, to playing Men's football. With a whole host of new challenges, mainly physical, playing as part of a U21 team allows all of the players to develop a resilience of these challenges, and discover new ways to overcome them.
What We Focus On
As we are putting these players within a senior football set-up, the focus is to test the players at the highest level, to see if they can put everything they have learnt throughout their football journeys into practice against players that are in the peak of their footballing careers. Players must learn to be able to cope with the physical battles that will occur on the pitch, while using their ability and intelligence to break down opponents.
The overall aim for the players is to be able to work together and discover solutions to win every competitive game that they are involved in, while playing the style of football that they have been taught throughout the Kinja Football Pathway.
League & Matches
The U21 Men's will play 11-a-side football in the Middlesex County Football League. Competitive matches will be organised by the Middlesex County Football League as part of a "league" where each team will be played twice, once at our home venue, and once at an away venue.
Matches will be played on Saturday afternoons.
