Kinja FC Results 24th & 25th February

Facing the cold winds this week was just our boys teams, as many of our international players are away on their half term holidays, meaning our girls teams were treated to a weekend off.

Our U15 Boys started their game against Pinnstars fresh from having a week off for the British half term holidays. Unfortunately, without any momentum to go into the game, the boys fell to a 2-1 away defeat, with Mo El-Nashi scoring the only goal for the visiting Kinja side. Despite the result, coaches Rob and Danny reported back that there were a number of strong individual performances, however the attitude and work ethic of our players did not match Pinnstars great efforts, which ultimately cost the boys a defeat in the Harrow Youth League, leaving the boys in 6th place in division 3, just 2 points behind 5th placed Brentham Colts. The boys are looking to bounce back from defeat in their game next week at home to Headstone Manor.

The U17 Boys also had a week off last week, so went into their game against LNER with no momentum. Without a natural goalkeeper available, and many first-choice defenders also away, Kinja were already facing an uphill battle. Unfortunately the boys lost 5-0, against a strong LNER side who proved clinical in front of goal, and inflicted another defeat on the struggling Kinja side, following their promotion to the Harrow League Premier Division. The defeat means that the U17 boys sit bottom of the Premier Division table, however they're just 1 point behind 7th placed Parkfield, with a game in hand. They'll be looking to come back strongly against high-flying Headstone Manor in next Sunday's clash.

Despite the international half term break, our U11 boys had 10 players at their disposal in their 9v9 clash against TFA United. TFA were struggling for numbers, though, so the game ended up being played as a 7v7. However, strong performances from all of the boys meant that a great game was played by all, with both sides ensuring that the boys from both sides faced difficult challenges, and hopefully learnt a lot from the experience.

Next week, all of our sides are scheduled for games, with the exception of our U15 girls, whose next game is scheduled on the 24th March. Hoping for more great performances across the board, as all of our teams continue to play the Kinja way of playing!
