Rushmoor 0 - Kinja Rockets 3.

Despite the 50 mile journey the Rockets arrived in good time and had the pleasure of fielding a full team and the rockets started brightly playing some very attractive, passing football. With El on the right and Shardonnae on the left the rockets had plenty of width, with the width came gaping holes in the middle and on several occasions both Joya and Mia B were able to burst forward and slide passes in between defenders into the Kasey's path but with her 1st real chance she fired over the crossbar with only the goalie to beat.
Aimee was fouled on the halfway line on 18 minutes and Kasey was instructed to have a shot directly from the free kick and her effort whistled narrowly high and wide.
El was proving a constant threat on the right wing and she was also unlucky not to score after she shot across the face of the Rushmoor goal but the ball ended up going out of play for a goal kick.
Rushmoor created their 1st effort after 30 minutes when a lapse in concentration in the rockets rear guard allowed their striker a shot at goal but Fiona watched it go comfortably wide.
On 3 occasions in the 1st half Fiona was dumped to the ground by an over physical Rushmoor centre forward but the challenges were left unpunished by the match official but Fiona remained focused with the job in hand and just simply got up and carried on with the game.
During the 1st half Rushmoor worked extremely hard to contain the rockets and their hard work paid off as they managed to make it to half time with the score at 0-0.
The 2nd half started in the same manner as the 1st with the rockets having control of the ball for the first 10 minutes with Fiona a mere spectator in the rockets goal but Rushmoor began to have little bits of success in terms of putting pressure on the rockets defence but again Regan was up for the battle and she dealt with any threat quite comfortably with the help of the impressive Anna, Indie and Lindsey.
the rockets remained patient and the patience paid of when Kasey broke the dead lock with a sweet strike.
El forced a wonderful save from the Rushmoor keeper and Indie took the corner kick, Kasey was being closely marked but Indie curled in a beautiful ball into the area where Kasey lost her marker and connected with a thunderous right foot volley to give the rockets a well earned lead.
This goal helped the rockets relax and get their rhythm back and Kasey soon doubled the rockets lead, Anna won possession of the ball in the left back position and played the ball forward to Joya who burst into space and looked up and chipped the ball between 2 defenders, Kasey latched onto the chip and as the keeper advanced of her line Kasey lifted the ball over her and even though the goalkeeper got her fingers to the ball she was unable to prevent it from crossing the line to give the rockets a 2 goal cushion.
The 3rd and final goal shortly followed when a pass into Kasey was controlled, she then slid the ball into the path of Shardonnae who twisted and turned in the area and as 1 defender had trouble dispossessing her they sent over another to help and this left Rushmoor short of players in the box, Shardonnae then rolled the ball back into the path of Mia B who smacked the ball into the top left hand corner of the goal from 18 yards out.
with 2 minutes remaining Fiona showed what a great goalkeeper she is by diving at the feet of the Rushmoor striker and forced the ball away for a corner which was dealt with again by Regan.
